Ammerrry Salisbury
Ammerry Salisbury is a Thai classical dance artist, cultural producer, performer, workshop leader, storyteller, and educator based in the United Kingdom.
Dedicated to preserving and sharing Thailand's rich performing arts heritage, Ammerry creates performances, workshops, and cultural experiences that connect traditional Thai arts with contemporary audiences through movement, storytelling, music, participation, and community engagement.
Beginning her training in Thai classical dance at the age of thirteen, Ammerry studied at Ban Natasin Thai Dance School, Rama III, Bangkok, Thailand, where she developed a strong foundation in the discipline, technique, and expressive traditions of Thai classical dance.
She also studied traditional Thai music at Ban Dontri Thai Thewet (Thewet Thai Music House), Bangkok, under the guidance of Khru Tuean Phatyakul, National Artist of Thailand, developing a deep appreciation of Thai musical traditions, rhythm, and the close relationship between music and movement in classical performance.
She has since developed an extensive multidisciplinary practice encompassing Thai classical dance, Thai folk dance, ceremonial performance, traditional Thai music, storytelling, traditional puppetry, and Southern Thai shadow puppetry.
Alongside her artistic practice, Ammerry represented university ensembles at the 31st Thailand University Music Festival, further strengthening her experience in musicality, ensemble performance, theatrical expression, and movement.
She also completed formal leadership training through the Royal Thai Territorial Defence programme, achieving the rank of Acting Sub-Lieutenant (Female). This experience continues to influence her collaborative approach to leadership, education, and community engagement.
Ammerry holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), a Master of Communication Arts, and a Bachelor of Fine and Applied Arts (Photography).
In 2026, she completed Introduction to Acting Practice: Level 1 at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, further developing her skills in acting, movement, voice, character development, and stage performance.
