About Our Story

Mekhala and Ramasura come from an ancient Thai story about lightning and thunder.

In the traditional story, Hanuman is not part of their adventure.

For our performance, Ammerry Salisbury has adapted the story and added new adventures and characters, including Hanuman and the Mermaid, bringing different parts of Thai mythology and storytelling together in a new way.

So, some parts of this story come from Thai tradition — and some parts were created especially for our show.
